Many South Africans were celebrating today after the Western Cape High Court made a landmark ruling that it is an infringement to ban the use of dagga by adults in private homes.
The court ruling allows for the private possession, cultivation and use of dagga at home in South Africa.
The Court also ruled that Parliament must change sections of the Drug Trafficking Act and Medicines Controls Act within the next 24 months.
