Hiking up Cape Town’s iconic Lion’s Head is special for anyone, anytime… but watching Chaeli Mycroft summit Lion’s Head with a group of ordinary people – doing something extraordinary – is super-special!
Cape Town’s Wannabe Vlogger, Adam Spires, and a group of Capetonians helped the young South African quadriplegic make it to the top of Lion’s Head for a view of a lifetime.
Adam says he believes this is a world record.
In 2015 Chaeli (Michaeli) made the impossible possible when she became the first female quadriplegic to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, after just turning 21.
Chaeli has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair-bound. She is an ability activist, international award winner and co-founder of The Chaeli Campaign, a non-profit organisation that provides services to children with disabilities.
The purpose of summiting Lion’s Head was not just for her own delight… but to raise awareness for her campaign. She has over 7,000 beneficiaries a year and wants to make it even more.
