The group visited Cape Point in a high speed boat, Langa township where they did volunteer charity work, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Table Mountain National Park; hiked Steenbras, learnt to surf in Muizenberg, rode horses through the vineyards at Rheebokskloof, and also visited the V&A Waterfront, Boulders Penguin Colony and Robben Island!
As their freelance tour guide – and Lizzela-award nominee – George Meyer said, when selecting locations to show foreigners: “I am torn between all our magnificent scenic beauty and the rich culture and diversity of the people of Cape Town.”
He also said that foreigners who understand South Africa’s history share the emotion felt by locals when visiting Robben Island.
