Table Mountain Cableway will be hiring up to 150 seasonal staff for the peak tourist season, 1 November 2019 to 30 January 2020. Its annual online recruitment drive opened yesterday (Monday 17 June).
With opportunities in Food & Beverage, Operations, Security, Cleaning and Retail as well as at the Table Mountain Café and Ticket Office, the Cableway’s Managing Director Wahida Parker says successful applicants will receive valuable on-the-job training at one of the world’s most leading tourist attractions through practical and theoretical learning.
Where staff display a special aptitude further learning opportunities will be made available.
“We recognise that the quality, motivation and performance of our employees are key enablers to the Cableway’s success and aim to create beneficial opportunities for those who work for us,” says Parker.
“Seasonal recruitment goes far beyond the job itself. Not only is it a privilege to work at our New 7 Wonder of Nature, but it is also an opportunity to meet new people, grow, challenge yourself with something new and open the door to a career in the exciting, ever-expanding South African tourism industry.
“In fact, many of our full-time employees started out as seasonal staff.”

“Delighting visitors require us to keep our doors open 7 days a week, including public holidays – so come prepared to sacrifice the lure of public holidays and weekends, if you want to be counted amongst those people who go the extra mile to make a difference”, says Parker.
All recruits must be available to work seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays. Apply online now: https://www.tablemountain.net/content/page/apply. Note that you will need to submit a photo or a video of yourself as part of your application.
“We’ve recently been hailed as one of the leading attractions in Africa. We need the cream of the crop to form part of our organisation. We believe in investing in people and growing skills in our country. We are passionate about the mountain and the visitors we serve and want you to come and join us.
“This opportunity is limited, so don’t delay in submitting your application,” concludes Parker.
Applications for seasonal recruitment close on 15 July 2019. For information go to https://www.tablemountain.net/content/page/recruitment or call (021) 424 8181.
