South Africans around the world are grabbing for the tissues to get them through a breathtaking new video that showcases South African scenes and scenery at its best.
The new SA Tourism brand video is aimed at tourists, telling them that “when you #MeetSouthAfrica you’ll reconsider what you think you know”…but it’s many of South Africa’s own expats who have been most moved by the video calling it “stunning” and “powerful”.
After watching it this weekend, expat Susan Oxley wrote on SAPeople’s Facebook page: “Blubbering on the train again!! Hormonal much I ask myself? This makes me so very homesick!”
Those in South Africa love it too. Irene Christos Peterkin said “Cool ad! We live in a beautiful country.”
The video (with its twist at the end) is on its way to becoming a viral sensation amongst South Africans worldwide, as its feel-good factor reminds them of the beauty and nostalgia of ‘home’.
