SuperSport United have acquired the services of unwanted Kaizer Chiefs midfielder who was released on Thursday afternoon.

Phathutshedzo Nange‘s contract with Chiefs was set to expire on 30 June, and with a week to go before then, the club announced his exit.

Now, according to UnplayableZA, Nange has already put pen to paper with SuperSport United to reunite with coach Gavin Hunt.

The pair worked together at the now defunct Bidvest Wits alongside the likes of Thulani Hlatshwayo and Ricardo Goss.

Of course, Goss is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns but he could return to SuperSport United for a second spell in the new season.

NANGE’S KAIZER CHIEFS EXIT WAS CONFIRMED EARLIER

Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of Phathutshedzo Nange with immediate effect as part of their expected mass exodus at the club.

Nange was always expected to be one of the casualties given his lack of game time under Arthur Zwane last season.

Since his arrival from Stellenbosch FC in 2021, Nange only made 31 competitive matches for Chiefs and scored two goals.

Chiefs took to their social media platforms to announce Nange’s exit on Thursday, and he becomes the second player to be released after Erick Mathoho.

The other player who left Naturena is Siyabonga Ngezana who was sold to Romanian giants Fotbal Club FCSB last week for a reported fee of R12 million.
