Kaizer Chiefs are in talks with two of their ‘senior’ players over their smooth exit from the club ahead of the new campaign.

Austin Dube and Cole Alexander have not been regulars under Arthur Zwane, and they are clearly not part of the plans for next season.
However, the duo are still contracted to Chiefs having both signed three-year deals in 2021 – hence the management can’t just get rid of them.

Dube has already been linked with a possible return to Richards Bay FC either on loan or permanently.
For Alexander, there hasn’t really been huge interest in his services but a possible return to India could be on the cards.

KAIZER CHIEFS IN EXIT TALKS WITH DUBE AND ALEXANDER
“Kaizer Chiefs are negotiating the imminent exits of two players in defender Austin Dube and midfielder Cole Alexander.
“The duo were signed shortly before coach Stuart Baxter took over in July 2021, but Amakhosi feel their time at the club is up, SABC Sport understands.” – SABC Sport reports
AGENT CONFIRMS DUBE HASN’T REPORTED FOR KAIZER CHIEFS PRE-SEASON
Meanwhile, Dube’s agent Basia Michaels has confirmed to the same publication that her client isn’t part of Amakhosi’s pre-season training.

Chiefs returned to work last week, and the squad has been in Naturena for its medical tests before getting on with the real work.
“Yes Mazola you are correct, Austin hasn’t been part of the group that started training this week,” confirmed Michaels.
“It’s the unfortunate side of football but it’s a reality of the game.”
