SA Supermodel Candice Swanepoel Gives Birth to Baby Boy

South African supermodel Candice Swanepoel has given birth to her first child, a baby boy named Anacã.

The 27-year-old Victoria’s Secret model, and her Brazilian fiancé Hermann Nicoli, welcomed their son into the world on Friday.

The happy news was revealed by her photographer friend Jerome Duran who posted a photo of a naked Candice with her pregnant tum, saying:  “THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MAMA Congratulations!! @angelcandices @hermannicoli Welcome Anacã!!! Already sooo much LOVE for you and the new family!” (See below.)

Anacã is reportedly the Portuguese word for bird, specifically a red parrot… although other reports say it has an African-Hausa background and means ‘sweetness of face’.

Candice had already let it known that her son would be called Anacã over a month ago, when she was pictured at her safari-themed baby shower (honouring her South African heritage!)… with his name displayed in blue letters on the wall behind her.

The New York-based mom grew up in Mooi River, South Africa. Her close friend and fellow VS model, Behati Prinsloo also recently gave birth to her first child, daughter Dusty Rose, with husband Adam Levine.
