South African culture is spreading fast around the world as proud expats share their homeland culture with those abroad – from Brits eating Durban’s famous Bunny Chow to Australians packaging biltong… and now in a corner of Indonesia, they can dance to Pata Pata!
South African expat Cheryl Shelley Wevell says: “We recently celebrated International Day here in Indonesia, and as our tiny little South African community we had a little stall and promoted our country.”
The South African group even taught the little Grade 2 and 3 Indonesian kids to dance to Pata Pata… “along with our South African kiddies”.
