South African Braai Bazaar in South Korea. What a jol! Watch the video.

When South Africans get together it’s always a jol. And they always braai! Check out this fun-loving video, filmed recently at a bazaar in Seoul.

“If there is one thing any true Saffa loves it’s Braai, and boy do we take it seriously!” says blogger and vlogger Heshina Pillay who uploaded the video to YouTube.

The video was filmed at the 5th annual “Naji Braai” where a “beautiful blue sky and a blazing hot sun set the perfect tone for a day of celebration in true South African style.”

The event, which lived up to its “summer bazaar” theme, included all the South African favourites like boerewors and biltong with people “busting some Saffer moves, topped off with dop and chops galore. Let’s face it theres no better Nyama quite like Shisa Nyama!”

Hesh has been living in South Korea for the past three years where she teaches English part-time, although this may be her last year, as – like with so many South Africans who leave our shores and get a taste for adventure and new experiences – she’s now “keen to live and travel to other places.”
