Siya picked up mobile phones to take selfies with the fans, many decked out in their SA rugby fans’ gear, and proudly holding the South African flag.

Some even proudly wearing the SA Flag (the famous ‘Faf speedo’!):

@Springboks have the best fans in the world! And the best #Captain! @SiyaKolisi MORE PICS: https://t.co/NG9rWqpJfq pic.twitter.com/Tn66LsGCt3

One of Kolisi’s biggest hugs however was reserved for Scotland’s international rugby player, Oliver Ralph Kebble… a South African expat who, like Kolisi, previously played for the Stormers and the Western Cape in provincial rugby. The 29-year-old, who was born in Durban, now plays for Glasgow Warriors, since 2017.

And while we’re sharing photos from the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, this has to be the coolest of the day… Makazole Mapimpi after his second try.

It tells the incredible tale of the Springboks’ unstoppable climb to glory to lift the Webb Ellis Cup at the Rugby World Cup in Japan… and has a heartbreaking, much-watch scene about Mapimpi.
