Durban photographers were up before dawn on Monday morning to capture these stunning photos of Queen Mary 2 as she made her way gracefully into Durban harbour, shimmering and glittering.
Queen Mary 2, one of the world’s longest passenger ships, dazzled in Durban for a day – arriving at 4am and setting off again in the evening on her way to Gqeberha and Cape Town. The 950 crew members and 2,000 passengers were given a warm Durban welcome by Zulu dancers and singers, along with Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda and other officials, before they disembarked for a day exploring the beautiful cultural and tourism spots in the coastal city and its surrounds.
