The Proteas have finished their innings in spectacular fashion at Mumbai’s Wankede Stadium where they are currently playing the decider One Day International (ODI) against India to see who will win the Freedom Series, after each team secured two ODIs.
AB de Villiers and his team have displayed incredible batsmanship and #ProteaFire with three centuries scored – by AB, Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis – enabling South Africa to finish with 438/4.
The crowd went crazy for AB de Villiers’ century, chanting his name. This is his 48th ODI.
It was only Faf’s fifth ODI and while he achieved an outstanding innings with 6x6s and 9x4s, he battled through cramps and has had to retire hurt.
