If you’ve been missing South Africa, here’s a visual feast from a sunny Sunday in the Eastern and Western Cape…
It started Sunday morning with these beautiful hues. Eddy Bronwyn Bakker shot this photo while “waiting for the sun rise at the lakes in Wilderness, Garden Route.”
And finally the sun rose. Seen here by Maureen Swanepoel Jordaan in Port Elizabeth at the start of Ironman African Championship South Africa.
And then the sun shone as the triathletes gave it their all – the front runner seen here in Sandi Randall Van Riet’s photo. The race was ultimately won by Ben Hoffman in 8:12:36 in the Men’s and Kaia Lehtonen in 9:06:49 in the Women’s finish.
Meanwhile in Cape Town, it was also a spectacular day… Victor Rocha Teixeira photographed this beautiful scene at Eden on the Bay today.
Down the road, regular SAPeople contributor Alan Rudnicki captured these photos of his perfect day in Camp’s Bay (Maiden’s Cove)…
And Ursula Thyssen found this “very happy guy today…enjoying a very hot summer’s day in Cape Town” in Autumn…and definitely enjoying that shade!
Stan Sanetra meanwhile was enjoying the beautiful Autumn colours of the Zevenwacht vineyards.
Hout Bay basked beautifully in the Sunday afternoon shadows…
And finally, the beautiful day came to an end…Alan Rudnicki captured these photos as the sun was going, going, gone…
