Former American President Barack Obama’s tweets quoting former South African President and prisoner, Nelson Mandela, have become the most liked tweets in history.

The tweets followed the Charlottesville tragedy in Virginia, USA, on Saturday when one woman was killed and about a dozen people injured after a man drove deliberately into an anti-racist crowd that was protesting against a protest about the removal of a Robert E Lee statue.

Quoting Mandela, Obama posted the following three tweets:
