Missing Cape Town student Isabel Velile Ndlovu has been found alive in Khayelitsha site C! The College of Cape Town student had gone missing on Thursday after having been forced to walk home following the start of the taxi strike.
On Tuesday evening, the College posted a message on Facebook saying: “Attention everyone! Kindly note that Isabel Velile Ndlovu has been found alive in Khayelitsha site C, the police are currently dealing with the case.”
The College thanked everyone including the Cape Town community and social media pages that shared the post and prayed for her safe return home.
A fellow student, Tegan Holtzhausen, whose post searching for her friend had gone viral, said tonight: “AMAZING NEWS!!! SHE HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE AND ALIVE! Thank you to everyone who helped and those who prayed for her safe return I don’t have any more information regarding what she’s been through, but I have been told she is going to be put into counselling.”
Her brother-in-law Phenius Dickens told Cape Talk Radio that she was kidnapped and kept, with another woman, at site C were they were “fed like stray dog with expired pap. We are just glad she was never touched.”
