Kevin Hart Says Cape Town “Blows Me Away”

US comedian Kevin Hart, who is touring South Africa, said Cape Town blew him away from the moment he arrived in the city.

He arrived in the country on Friday for his “Kevin Hart What Now?” tour, taking in Cape Town, Durban (Monday) and Johannesburg (Wednesday).

The kinetic, very funny, hugely popular (27 million followers on Twitter), extremely hard-working and diminutive Hart, who regularly posts to his Kevin Hart TV channel on Youtube, said that even though he had travelled to a lot of places around the world, he was blown away by the reception he got arriving at Cape Town. Three hundred people were waiting outside for him holding placards shouting “KEVIN KEVIN”.

Hart, whose movie “Ride Along 2” supplanted the latest “Star Wars” blockbuster as top box office earner in the US recently – admittedly after the space sequel had a long run – has a movie coming up with Dwayne ‘Rock’ Johnson called “Central Intelligence” and has just announced he is writing his memoir to be published in 2017.

Hart, who has left Cape Town now to perform in Durban, posted the chat raving about Cape Town (which included his fiancé, Eniko Parrish) from his hotel room in the city. (Be warned: There is a fair amount of swearing, this being Kevin Hart.)
