In the beginning the Lowes had everything. Two great jobs. Two beautiful girls. Kristi and Jenna. Everything pretty much on track. Now so much of that is gone…
Ten days ago 20-year-old Jenna Lowe passed away. During the last few months of her life her family moved from the Western Cape to Johannesburg to be near their beloved daughter and sister as she bravely fought to survive. But on 8 June 2015 the Lowe’s lost their daughter and her dream of reaching her 21st.
We have watched the Lowes living every parent’s nightmare and been blown away by their strength, love and generosity of spirit. Now they need our generosity…
To assist Jenna’s family during this difficult time, Rare Diseases South Africa (RDSA) has set up a fundraising page in her honour.
All funds raised will be used towards covering outstanding medical costs for Jenna, and to assist the family in relocating back home to Cape Town.

“Jenna was a brave young girl who lost her battle to a rare disease known as Pulmonary Hypertension, and an ambassador for Rare Diseases SA,” says Kelly du Plessis from RDSA.
“Jenna spent her life advocating for others and has changed the future for all patients in South Africa awaiting organ transplants with her #GetMeTo21 campaign.”
The Lowe family remains committed to the mandate as detailed by Jenna, to assist patients impacted by the need for organ transplants going forward.
