Grammy award-winning artist, Zakes Bantwini along with a stellar line-up of local artists, will take to the stage for his Abantu concert on 28 October 2023.

The Abantu concert is the brainchild of South African Grammy award-winning singer and producer, Zakes Bantwini. It is named after his upcoming album Abantu, meaning ‘people’ and offers an experience that celebrates unity and freedom through music.
The Osama hitmaker is set to make history in the Mother City as the first African artist to headline a music concert at the iconic venue for a full day of entertainment, starting from midday until midnight.

According to Cape Town Mayor, Geordin Hill-Lewis, the City was excited to be working with Zakes Bantwini and his team to bring a unique and inclusive event to the people of Cape Town, while also having a global appeal to all music fans. It was inspiring to see the opportunities this creates for artists to develop and expand their fan base. The City was looking forward to welcoming this incredible music celebration to our vibrant city.

Tickets are being sold in phases, with general access phase 1 tickets already sold out. Phase 2 tickets are still available and will provide access to the main dance floor and bars.
