Easter Bunny Spotted in the Western Cape?

A Western Cape resident is certain she saw the Easter Bunny last night…on the R326. Did anyone else spot it?

Canita Domingo was travelling at about 23:00 last night, Easter Monday, on the R326 with her husband when “the strangest thing” happened…

“I was driving when suddenly, out of nowhere, a small animal with the longest ears I have ever seen jumped in front of our car and ran ahead of us,” says Canita.

“Every time I tried to go past, it just would not allow us to do that. When I would go to the left then the animal would go left too. There was a moment when I managed to get past it for a few seconds and then it just picked up speed again and sprinted ahead of us.

“It was weird! I wish I hadn’t been driving so that I could have recorded it. For some reason my husband did not know where to find the video camera on his phone. (That was even stranger!) My husband just kept shouting:  ‘what is it?’. Repeatedly.

“If I may add the animal’s ears were about three times the height of its body. Its ears were upright and did not even move as it was sprinting ahead of us. After about 1 km of ‘escorting’ us it eventually ran over to the side and allowed us to go past.

“There was another vehicle about 500 m behind us which pulled off and I assume they saw it too.

“So this is the thought running through my mind since then: Is the Easter Bunny real?

“So I googled it and found one post that said: ‘Everybody wants to know… is the Easter Bunny real or fake? I’m here to tell you that despite what your friends say the Easter Bunny is indeed real. There are a network of people that have been trying to catch the Easter Bunny on camera. While some footage of the Easter Bunny has been authenticated other footage is still being studied by experts before they can confirm it is indeed real. In time there will be undeniable proof that the Easter Bunny is real!’

“I’m just so glad I had a witness…else no one would believe me. I’d be interested to hear what other people’s opinions are…

“Today my husband is trying to find all logical explanations for what we saw. He thinks it ‘was just a rabbit with long ears’. 😀 Men!!”
