South Africa has scooped several top awards in the 2022 World Luxury Awards, which was held in Turkey this weekend. The final winners were announced to the public on Monday, 24 October 2022.
Fusion Boutique Hotel in Polokwane, Limpopo won for Best Luxury Small Hotel in the World!
The hotel offers A-listers a glamorous stay with accommodation including the Bollywood Suite, the art-deco Hollywood Suite where you’ll feel like a movie star, and the romantic Kiss Suite, favoured by newly weds and inspired by a Gustav Klimpt painting portraying perfect love. The room includes antique suitcases and teddy bears, a spa bath and double shower in the marble bathroom, as well as a private garden.
Fusion’s restaurant – Saskia Restaurant – was also a big winner, scooping the Best South African Cuisine title for the continent of Africa. The restaurant is inspired by 17th century artist Rembrandt van Rijn and named after his wife and muse.
