Here’s some ‘get fit’ inspiration from Carte Blanche’s Derek Watts! Normally more famous for being on our TV screens on Sunday nights, Derek demonstrated just how strong his core muscles are on the Dan Nicholl show.
Dan joked: “Veteran television presenter Derek Watts is best known for anchoring Carte Blanche for 27 years – but it turns out he’s also an accomplished gymnast!”
Derek has been a journalist for nearly 30 years, presenting on South African television since 1985 as a sports anchor. He has anchored and presented on Carte Blanche since the programme’s inception in 1988.

If you’re feeling inspired – according to health website Livestrong, doing a headstand is brilliant to tone the upper body, strengthen the core, improve digestion, stimulate brain function, nourish the face and resolve depression.
Livestrong also warns, however, that headstands should not be attempted by anyone who isn’t ready to support their own weight when upside down!
