There’s so much to see and do in Cape Town that two vloggers have decided instead of cramming it into one travel video, to rather embark on a brilliant series called ‘This is Cape Town’. The first video – watch below – features the city centre.
It’s fun, fast, fascinating, uplifting and is sure to make tourists want to visit… and those who miss home feel nostalgic.
Places featured include (amongst many others): Castle of Good Hope, Grand Parade, City Hall, District Six Museum, Bo Kaap, Company Gardens, Greenmarket Square, coffee shops, street signs and some wonderful scenes demonstrating the “new” South Africa.
Darren (50) and Dean (30), who is a tour guide, are both Capetonians who “really just enjoy making videos and wanted to share it”… and if they generate enough interest they may even start a business doing this full time.
The whole video was shot in one (glorious!) day. “We covered 11km on foot, flattened 5 batteries. And the edit was about 10 hours in total.”
