Sharks rugby player Bismarck du Plessis has taken part in a video that sends a very loud message – switch your cell phones to silent when you’re at the movies!
The video was filmed at a packed cinema at the Gateway Shopping Centre at the end of last month (scroll down to view).
In a message uploaded to YouTube a couple of days ago, Cell C says: “We’ve all seen them (and heard them) – the people who chitter-chatter on their phones during a movie. It’s rude, it’s distracting and often you wish someone would just stand up to them, tackle them to the ground or split their phone into a bazillion pieces.
“Cell C’s Cinema Activation sure gave the audience a couple of laughs, but it also sent out the message loud and clear, that not switching to silent before the opening credits can be a dangerous thing!”
If only every movie theater had Bismarck du Plessis in the audience!
