Behati Prinsloo having a Blast with her ‘Bru’ Candice

Namibian model Behati Prinsloo has been having a blast with her ‘bru’, fellow Victoria’s Secret model – and fellow Southern African – Candice Swanepoel (see pics of Candice on Victoria’s Secret Swim Catalogue cover).

Behati tweeted excitedly last week that she was shooting her first Victoria’s Secret commercial with Candice, saying:

In miami very excited shooing my first @VictoriasSecret commercial with my bru @angelcandice!!!!!

They were joined by Dutch model Doutzen Kroes at the location in Miami, which happened to be the home of A-Rod (Alex Rodriguez), the infamous Yankees slugger (who was away in New York with his girlfriend). The lingerie shoot was directed by Transformers’ movie director Michael Bay.

Behati (22) and Candice (23) also had fun together in St Barts at the end of January. Behati tweeted a pic of the clouds from her plane, and again mentioned her ‘bru’:

Flying to st barts, very excited to see my bru @angelcandice there.

She later uploaded the pic above of her and Candice having fun in St Barts.

Days after the Miami Beach shoot, Behati was embroiled in some silly gossip with celebrity gossip website TMZ who ran a headline that said “Victoria’s Secret Model Sparks Most Ridiculous Argument Ever” followed by a teaser that claimed Behati “is either one of the hottest women on the planet – or an emaciated 10-year-old boy posing as one.”

Behati responded to TMZ on Twitter saying “I can’t believe you guys are talking about this in the first place, but stranger still….its not even me!!!! hahaha”

That post has since been removed from TMZ.

Behati was born in Cape Town but moved to Namibia when she was two. She was discovered at a supermarket by a photographer, and whisked to London by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Model Management who also discovered supermodel Kate Moss.
