Saffa braai in Bangkok to watch Bokke take on Wales

South Africans in Thailand will be able to watch the Springboks take on Wales this weekend, Saturday 19 August 2023, in lekker SA style!

Saffas in and near Bangkok will be heading to Buddy’s Bar & Grill (Sukhumvit 89) for boerewors, chakalaka, biltong, braaibroodjies and of course… to watch the match on the big screens. The food is catered by Saffa Kitchen.

Reigning world champs South Africa take on Wales at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on Saturday afternoon… a warm-up to the Rugby World Cup which kicks off next month in France.

SA expats in Thailand will be able to get into the SA spirit with biltong and peanut snacks from 16.30, braai from 19.30 and then the live rugby when the game starts (scheduled for 21.15).

The food includes: Boerewors, Aussie ribeye roasts, pork ribs, chicken drumsticks, pap & chakalaka, braaibroodjies, salad – potato, beetroot, kerrie pasta and a surprise salad

There’ll be Rooibos iced tea, and anyone who prebooks a seat gets one free Tiger draught pint! Pre-booking costs 350 baht per person. If you pay at the door it’s 380 baht.
