Prime to launch SA’s 1st scripted series internationally

South Africans abroad will soon be able to watch an intriguing South African series on Prime Video. The streaming platform will be launching SA’s first scripted series, In Your Dreams, on 24 November. The fantasy action-adventure series will join global titles like The Boys, Citadel, The Lord of the Rings, The Fury and more on Prime.

The six-part series starring Didintle Khuno, Jesse Suntele and Kiroshan Naidoo weaves together local cultures, ancient folklore and tribal customs with a contemporary and progressive Africa.

Combining fantasy with adventure, In Your Dreams features the living dead, cursed statues, and three unforgettable friends.

The show centres on best friends and business partners Lloyd (Kiroshan Naidoo) and Marcus (Jesse Suntele), who accidentally awaken an ancient spirit when they encounter Marcus’ schoolboy crush, adventuring relic hunter and antiquities dealer Dineo (Didintle Khunou).

With horrifying and hilarious results, the malevolent spirit will show the intrepid adventurers what they’re truly willing to do to make their most heartfelt dreams come true. A parable about the power of family – both the ones we’re born into and the ones we create ourselves – the series spans across mystical caves and sacred burial grounds to modern cities and the African bushveldt.

The series is produced by independent African production company Motion Story (Shadow, Dead Places).
