As is the annual tradition, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco welcomed all the young Monégasque children to the palace on Wednesday for a visit from Santa Claus, and a fun Christmas dance and magic show in the ‘throne room’. And on Friday evening they posted 2017’s royal Christmas Card (see below)… featuring their adorable twins.
Approximately 500 children – aged five to 12 – were treated to a very special day with the Monaco royal family.
After snacks the Christmas gifts were handed out by the famous South African expat (and former Olympic swimmer, who was born in Zimbabwe) and her husband; and they were assisted by Princess Stephanie’s children, Camille and Louis.
After seeing the photo below, one Monaco mom – Lisa DeRea Frederiksen – said: “Six years ago, just before their wedding, my seven year old daughter went up by herself to Princess Charlene to say hello when we were at an event at the Yacht Club. I will never forget that Princess Charlene immediately bent down like this to speak directly to my daughter and to me that was the most wonderful thing. Loved her from that moment…”
