South African Kwaito icon Zola 7—real name Bonginkosi Dlamini was recently appointed as one of the Creative Sector Ambassadors, and Minister of Sports Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa gladly took to Twitter to make the announcement on Monday, 17 April.
ZOLA 7 APPONITED AS ONE OF THE CREATIVE SECTOR AMBASSADORS
Zola 7 made a name for himself on South African’s radio’s and TV screen with hits like Lwandle, Umdlwebe, and also acting on 1993’s local drama Yizo Yizo as the notorious gangster Papa Action and more.
After having disappeared from the limelight for some time, It appears as though Zola 7 is on the comeback.
Not only has he recently released a new single titled Skinny Jean earlier this month, Apple Music reported, but he has also secured another huge deal on the side.

The Minister of Sports Arts and Culture revealed that he had met up with Zola 7 and offered him an appointment to be one of the Creative Sector Ambassadors, saying,
“Bonginkosi Dlamini is South Africa’s icon and one of our most talented stars. I met him yesterday in Polokwane – he welcomed an invite to work with us as one of the Creative Sector Ambassadors. I look forward to a great working relationship with Zola 7.”

On top of having been happy about Zola 7’s latest achievement, netizens shared that they were also thrilled to see the kind of work Kodwa had done with his own appointment.
According to the South African Government website, on 6 March Kodwa bagged the appointment to be the Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture of the Republic of South Africa after being reshuffled from being the Deputy Minister of State Security since 30 May 2019.
