Fans were left reeling in shock after the former royal butler of Princess Diana, Paul Burrell broke down screaming after he was reportedly ‘bitten’ by a snake during the very first episode of I’m a Celebrity South Africa.

The South Africa spin-off series stars some of the ITV reality show’s most well-known and iconic campmates from over the years.
Campmates include Shaun Ryder, Helen Flanagan, Phil Tufnell, Jordan Banjo, Carol Vorderman, Amir Khan, Janice Dickinson, Fatima Whitbread, and Burrell.

During the first challenge, “Hell Holes,” Paul plunges his hand into a hole filled with snakes to retrieve a key to win a meal for his first night in the camp.
The publication reports that Paul screamed out in fear and pain as a snake reportedly nipped him.
The former butler reportedly looked in pain when screaming: “It’s biting me!”
Paul first appeared on the show back in 2004.

The latest incident reminded fans of a similar challenge where Paul tried to grab meal tokens from inside holes filled with rats and bugs in 2004.
ITV shared a hilarious look at the many faces Paul made during the challenges, dubbing him the “Scream King.”
For the South-African series, there is no public vote.
Campmates will compete against each other in a battle to become the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend, The Sun reports.
The series airs weeknights on ITV at 21:00 (UK time).
