YIKES! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NIGERIAN STAR’S LAST SA CONCERT?
Burna Boy’s concert was initially scheduled to take place on Heritage weekend in September, also at the FNB stadium. It was reportedly called off by Wings, a US businessman who was the main investor – this comes after his partner Sedote Nwachukwu allegedly embezzled funds for the concert, The Citizen reported.
Thereafter, Wings is said to have gotten charged with fraud following suppliers of the concert having not received their payments. “Thirty days before the concert, Gregory found out that Sedote had been stealing money from the ticket sales by Ticketpro. He (Sedote) had also not paid suppliers and everything was not going according to plan,” a source speaking to the publication was quoted as saying at the time.
