WHO IS ATANDWA KANI?
Born of the 6 June 1984, Atandwa Kani is a South African actor. His passion for theatre and the arts was catapulted by his father, Dr John Kani. According to Briefly the actor would often accompany his father to the theatre. From thereon he would not only watch his father on the theatre stage but also study theatre scripts.
Atandwa made his international stage debut in The Tempest at the Royal Shakespeare Company where he played the role of Ariel alongside his father (Caliban) and Sir Anthony Sher (Prospero).
The actor also made his international television debut in 2009 on Life is Wild, which was an American adaptation of the popular drama Wild at Heart which aired in the United Kingdom from 2006 to 2012
He also starred alongside Idris Elba, Naomi Harris and Terry Pheto in the film Mandela: Long Walk to freedom, playing the young version of South African freedom fighter and president Nelson Mandela. Kani also appeared in international BET series The Book of Negroes where he acted alongside Cuba Gooding Jr as well as performing in Sizwe Banzi is Dead in New York, which was directed by his father John Kani.
Atandwa Kani also starred in Marvel’s comic book film Black Panther, alongside his father, playing the young King T’Challa.

Recently the thespian announced that he would be joining Marvel for the second season of their highly anticipated animated series titled, What If…?.
In excitement Atandwa reposted the trailer to his Twitter letting his followers know that he is the voice of King T’Chaka in the series.
