An American tourist on holiday in South Africa had a once-in-a-lifetime experience when she came across a leopard in her shower!
Tally Angle, from North Carolina, posted photos to a Kruger National Park group on Facebook of the leopard “lounging in our outdoor lodge shower” at Singita Ebony Lodge.
Tally posted several amazing photos of the leopard – also of it in a tree just 20 foot from her lodge’s porch – and joked that it was her “favorite peeping Tom”.
The leopard has been identified as seven-year-old Nyeleti.
In a message on Facebook Tally said the leopard “enjoyed dinner on our door step” and “his afternoon was spent watching me have a facial and massage at the resort spa”.
Her party was moved to another location!
Tally said: “The staff was calling me the Leopard Whisperer… our whole stay was breathtaking and utterly enchanting! The funniest thing he did was steal couch cushions from the main lodge and drag them into the branches of surrounding trees. Oh he also walked in one morning at breakfast and stole an apple from the reception fruit bowl. All together it was absolutely amazing!”
Tally’s not the first to have a close encounter with a leopard at Ebony Lodge.
Niksterful uploaded the following video back in 2009. She said: “Lazy afternoon at Ebony Camp. Suite 10 a leopard decides to give me a visit. Acted like he owned the place, Thin pane of glass between us; don’t be fooled. Never a good idea to leave your door open when leopard is on the scent.”
