The video was uploaded by Kuiseb Delta Adventures, which offers quad bike and 4×4 tours in Namibia… but it’s not sure who actually filmed the video or where.
What is certain is that is was pretty heart-stoppingly terrifying for the nervous (and giggling) tourists… but luckily their safari guide appears to be a true professional who managed to keep things cool, calm and collected.
“Relax guys. We can’t go now. We have to sit it out,” he says with a super-casual voice at one particularly scary moment.

Kuiseb Delta Adventures said: “When driving in one of our national parks try not to get into this situation, but if it happens, switch the vehicle off, keep quiet and video.”
Something had possibly spooked the elephant herd to run across the road in the first place, but afterwards their charging was likely down to being protective of their young, with many babies scattered amongst the herd.
