Crowds of ANC supporters reportedly forced their way into hospitality suites at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, South Africa, where the ANC is holding its 105th birthday celebrations.
The stadium appears to be genuinely packed (not just visual effects!) and moments before there had been concerns that there wasn’t enough space for everyone.
Some ANC supporters – who have travelled from all over the country (including 115 busloads from President Jacob Zuma’s home province of KwaZulu-Natal) – were allowed to occupy the pitch area as it was the only space left, apart from Presidential and some hospitality suites.
The crowds forced their way into the VIP suites, demanding they be given somewhere decent to sit, and shouting “VIP Must Fall”.
