In the latest of several protests around South Africa, a violent protest has erupted in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, believed to have been started by disgruntled workers over work conditions.
With scenes similar to an Armageddon movie, protestors used at least 10 front-loaders to topple over two police vehicles. They also tore up barriers along the road at Richards Bay Harbour.
Although police fired, they were unable to hold back the bulldozers… and subsequently moved the rest of their vehicles to a safer location.
Approximately 20 people have reportedly been arrested.
