As of today, 10 January 2021, the total number of confirmed COVID19 cases in South Africa is 1 231 597, the total number of deaths is 33 163 and the total number of recoveries is 966 368.
SA Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said a cumulative total of 7 183 893 tests have now been completed with 63 046 tests conducted since the last report.
He said regrettably there have been another 339 Covid-19 related deaths since yesterday; and conveyed the Health Department’s condolences to the loved ones of the departed, and thanked the health care workers who treated the deceased.
South Africa’s recoveries now stand at 966,368 which represents a recovery rate of 78.4%.
