A South African Police Service (SAPS) Constable allegedly shot and killed his wife and two of her siblings on Saturday, 29 April. The deadly incident followed a dispute in the marriage.

MASOYI CONSTABLE ALLEGEDLY SHOOTS DEAD WIFE AND HER SIBLINGS
According to reports, the 37-year-old suspect is attached to the Masoyi SAPS. He and his wife were having a family meeting, including his wife’s sister and brother, on Saturday following a dispute.
“When things did not go the suspect’s way, he decided to go fetch his service pistol and fatally shot the three family members, including his wife,” said Acting Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) spokesperson Robbie Raburabu.

After the shooting, IPID was summoned to the scene in Kamajika Trust near Sabi Sand, Mpumalanga, where the Constable was arrested and detained.
He is expected to face three counts of murder in the Kabokweni Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 2 May.
