Missing Cape Town psychologist Diane Elizabeth Nelson has sadly been found deceased. Her body was reportedly discovered on Table Mountain, in South Africa, on Thursday.
Nelson was last seen on Saturday 23 June 2018 at around 20h00. Her vehicle was recovered at Cecelia Forest, with her handbag reportedly in it. Her cell phone was allegedly not in the vehicle, and had been turned off.
Nana Rechner, Head Operations at SA Pink Ladies organisation – which helps find missing minors and adults in South Africa – said in a message on social media on Friday morning: “It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Diane Nelson MHDSRIP. Our condolences to her parents, children extended family, colleagues and friends.”
Pink Ladies extended gratitude and thanks to the South African Police Service (SAPS) Claremont, Const Nkonki, Col Ricks Wynberg cluster, Sgt Visser SAPS dog unit, SAPS Air Wing, Tim Lundy/Andy Wood Wilderness Search and Rescue, communities, volunteers, PLTT/PLVT and all other role players who assisted in finding her; as well as all the Pink Ladies team and all its members, and all those who shared the flyer.
No further details have been issued at this stage.
