Long Time Teddy Bear Travelling Companion, Missing in South Africa

Award-winning wildlife and underwater photographer, Tracey Jennings, is seeking social media help in finding Bob, her best friend and travelling companion of over 25 years. He went missing on Saturday and she is desperate to get him back.

“I know he is just a teddy bear but he was a gift from one of my greatest friends and flatmates at University who subsequently committed suicide,” Tracey said in a letter to SAPeople.

“He was supposed to watch over me… and I over him. It was the last thing my friend said to me. Travelling with Bob was like Robert still being around.”

Bob – who has his own instagram page – was last seen at 2pm in Tracey’s rental apartment in at the V&A Marina complex in Cape Town. After dropping off a friend at the airport (drop off zone) and returning home, Tracey realised Bob was missing at around 5pm.

“I cannot believe he is missing – he must have dropped out of my bag or was stolen. Spent the last 5 hours searching the apartment, car, spoke to security, drove to the airport, spoke to the police at the airport,” she says.

Missing Girl Sought in South Africa

Eastern Cape: Police are seeking the assistance of the public to find Sinenjongo Nocanda (16) from Phakamisa Township who went missing in the early hours of yesterday. 

It is alleged that she was accompanied by her friend to hitchhike next to the robots at Zone 1, Zwelitsha to Phakamisa. Her friend alleges that Sinenjongo was given a lift by an unknown middle aged male. She has been missing since. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, black top and silver tekkies.
