DURBAN – A fire broke out earlier this evening at Durban’s iconic 320 West Street building.
According to Arrive Alive, Rescue Care Paramedics as well as the Durban Fire Department and Metro Police are currently on the scene in Durban Central at the location in West Street, now known as Dr Pixley KaSeme Street.
Operations Director Garrith Jamieson said: “At this stage firefighters are still trying to contain the blaze. Rescue Care Paramedics are on standby however no injuries have been reported as yet.”
The fire allegedly broke out earlier this evening on the 23rd floor (or 24th floor according to some reports).
The cause is as yet unknown.
