1993 | Oliver “OR” Tambo, the former leader of the African National Congress (ANC), passed away in Johannesburg after a protracted illness. He and Nelson Mandela were the first Black people to establish a law firm in the nation.

1993 | An IRA bomb decimated London’s Bishopsgate neighbourhood.
1990 | After quarantine for 48 years, Gruinard Island in Scotland was formally deemed anthrax-free in 1990.
