isiZulu isn’t difficult to get the hang of, but there are many South Africans who don’t know where to start their language learning journey.

isiZulu isn’t difficult to get the hang of, but there are many South Africans who don’t know where to start their language learning journey.

If you want to learn a new language and don’t know where to start, apps are one of the best ways to pick up a new language – or supplement what you already know about it.

The good news is that Zulu has been added to the Duolingo language learning app, and you can access these learning resources for free.

LEARN ISIZULU WITH DUOLINGO

According to the Duolingo blog, isiZulu has been added to the catalogue of different languages you can learn on the app.

Since August 2022, the Zulu language is available with different lessons – starting with easy, and working up to more advanced sentences and phrases.

The app also hosts stories, which have comprehension tests to quiz your isiZulu skills.

More free isiZulu lessons can be found on the internet… If you look in the right places.

Zulu Lessons with Thando gives you online language lessons, with different phrases covered in each free online lesson. Learn from a real person, and learn how to pronounce the different phrases the right way (and of course, what they mean).

OTHER DUOLINGO LANGUAGES

isiZulu isn’t the only language supported by Duolingo.

If you wanted to learn Spanish or Swedish, you could also find these languages on Duolingo. Other languages also include everything from Arabic to Swahili: even Latin and Greek are available languages that you can add to your free lesson plan.
