WHAT IS COMIC CON?

The international San Diego Comic-Con was first held in the 1970s, according to Comic-Con.org.

A comic-conference brings together comic book, cosplay, and gaming enthusiasts under the same roof.

Celebrities like Tati Gabrielle (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Selwyn Ward (Power Rangers) attended the 2022 Ultimate Pop Culture & Gaming Festival in Africa.

Fans and celebrities connect at Comic Con: if you’re a fan of any games or comic books, you will want to be there!

SAVE THE DATE

SA’s held its first Comic Con in 2018. The event has returned to Johannesburg for the year.

Comic Con Africa happens between 22 to 25 September (2023) at the Johannesburg Expo Center. Buy your tickets ahead of time if you want to be let into the event.

Expect to see a lot of exhibits, including some of the best snacks to keep you fueled as you make your way through. If you have a favourite comic book, board game, or series, then you might see it represented at Comic Con: that’s what everyone is there for!

Buy tickets from the Comic Con website, or from Howler, a verified ticket-selling partner of Comic Con Africa.
