Zolani Mahola covers Zahara’s ‘Loliwe’ beautifully [watch]
Freshly Ground’s Zolani Mahola paid a tearjerking tribute to talented singer Zahara by covering her famous hit song ‘Loliwe’.
South Africans are reeling over the passing of talented musician Zahara — real name Bulelwa Mkutukana. The musician died on Monday 11 December 2023 after turning 36 only a month earlier. Zolani Mahola — a member of formerly popular music group Freshly Ground — just covered Zahara’s famous song Loliwe and her fans love it.
Zahara’s death has sent shockwaves around the country as her millions of fans mourn her. Many local stars have also paid tribute to her — some with words of comfort and others by covering some of her famous songs.

ZOLANI MAHOLA COVERS ZAHARA’S ‘LOLIWE’
On Monday this week, famous singer Zahara passed away at a Johannesburg hospital following a short stay in the Intensive Care Unit.
The singer was hospitalised after she complained about being in pain and later died from a reported liver failure.

In the days since her passing, many people have headed online to share heartfelt tributes to the young star.
Many of them fondly discussed her contribution to the country’s music scene and how she managed to smile despite facing some challenging times.
One of the people who have paid tribute to the star is Zolani Mahola — the lead singer of Freshly Ground.
Taking to TikTok, the singer shared the video of herself singing Zahara’s hit song Loliwe while playing guitar.

Many of Zahara’s fans just loved the video and thanked Zolani for honouring the late star so well.
