Is Patricia the real comedian? Trevor Noah sent a message to his mom after his historic Emmy Award win on Monday…
Despite being a grown man, Trevor Noah – who won his first Emmy award – finds himself still answering to his mother, Patricia.
After making history as the “first black person to win an Emmy for outstanding talk series,” the South African comedian sent a message to his mom via his Instagram account.

TREVOR NOAH SHARES MESSAGE TO PATRICIA
In several Instagram posts, Trevor Noah shared his joy at winning his first-ever Emmy award in the category of ‘Outstanding Talk Series’ as host of The Daily Show.
“We did it, baby!”
Trevor – who quit the show in late 2022 – was also thrilled that his ward was presented to him on Martin Luther King Day on 15 January.
But while he made headlines for his historic win, the Soweto-born star had to convince his mom that he had truly won the award.

He shared in an update: “Attaching proof for everyone who said the inside of the card probably still said John Oliver, and by everyone I mean… this is only for my mother!”
Trevor – whose Netflix special Son Of Patrica was released in 2018 – hilariously added the hashtags: “#OnlyForPatricia #EveryoneElseKeepScrolling #DontYouDareSayItsPhotoshopped”

Trevor Noah’s Emmy win is just another reason for Patricia to brag to her mommy friends about his achievements.
