Comedian Tiffany Haddish pleads ‘no contest’ to her DUI arrest, following the two dropped misdemeanour charges.

American actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish has pleaded no contest to her Thanksgiving DUI arrest.

In December 2023, Tiffany had her two misdemeanour charges dropped after taking a plea deal following her DUI arrest in November last year.

On Thursday, 1 February the Girls Trip actress appeared in court and entered a no contest plea to a violation of Vehicle Code section 23103 and 23103.5, commonly known as “wet reckless”.

According to a statement obtained by media outlet TMZ and Rolling Stone, the actresses attorney Alex Spiro noted that iffan has agreed to a simple code violation.

Her attorney also noted that Tiffany is looking forward to moving forward and “putting this behind her”.

“Ms. Haddish has agreed to a simple vehicle code violation, not driving under the influence, which has been dismissed and looks forward to this being behind her”.

Haddish has been placed on summary probation for one year and has been ordered to complete 40 hours of community service. The actress has also been instructed to enrol in a Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s Victim Impact Program.

TIFFANY HADDISH ARRESTED FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

On Friday, 24 November Tiffany Haddish was arrested under the suspicion of driving under the influence in Beverly Hills, California.

Police officers confirmed that around 5:45 am Tiffany fell asleep behind the wheel in the middle of Beverly Drive. Law enforcement eventually responded to the scene where the comedian peacefully accepted her arrest.

Prior to her arrest Tiffany performed at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood Thursday evening for the club’s 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community.

There Tiffany was performed onstage and helped serve participants, with local TV news capturing the festive event.
