South African fitness instructor and influencer Rachel Kolisi, the wife of Springbok star Siya Kolisi, has always been dedicated to helping others. Rachel and Siya launched the Kolisi foundation in 2019 and have been making a difference ever since. This week Rachel, who is currently back in France, announced a new project to help women and children in the fight against gender-based violence.

The Kolisi foundation has partnered up with the Saartjie Baartman Centre to provide both women and children with the tools they need to take a stand against GBV.

RACHEL KOLISI CELEBRATES NEW PROJECT TO FIGHT GBV

The past few months have been a whirlwind for Rachel Kolisi.

The mom of two not only packed up everything to move to France from South Africa but also had to find the time to support her husband Siya who headed the Springboks in this year’s Rugby World Cup.

She was also tasked with helping their two children adjust to their new home.

Despite all of this, she also busied herself with some charity work and recently shared that the Kolisi Foundation has teamed up with the Saartjie Baartman Centre to help combat gender-based violence.

Earlier this week, she took to Instagram to celebrate the new project.

“So proud and excited to share this amazing project between the Kolisi Foundation and Saartjie Baartman Centre,” she wrote.

WOMEN HELPING WOMEN

The official Kolisi foundation page explains that the two charity houses have partnered up to bring #Power2You bags made by GBV survivors.

“These Power2You packs are designed to give women the tools they need to take a stand against gender-based violence.

“Each pack contains pepper spray, a whistle, a journal (with information and space to write), and a card with emergency/support contact numbers.

“Together, we’re creating bags of empowerment, turning stories of survival into beacons of hope.”
