‘I PULLED OVER’: SIPHO MAKHABANE DETAILS HIJACKING

Sipho Makhabane said he let his guard down when he thought he was being stopped by police, only to realise that he was being robbed.

“I thought it was law enforcement but it turned out to be robbers disguised as police. The supposed officers stopped me and asked that I get out of the car before another group of men in another car came and forced me to get into the vehicle with blue lights,” ZiMoja quoted him as saying.

His hijackers are said to have successfully driven away with his Toyota GD-6 and a few of his other valuables. The gospel star was on his way back home after spending the weekend in Mahikeng.

“I saw a white car with blue lights stopping me at a distance. I thought they were police and I pulled over, not knowing that it was criminals,” Makhabane said.

According to the Facebook post, Makhabane has since advised the public to be cautious and not stop whenever cars with blue lights pull them over. Instead, he says the best thing to do is to drive to the nearest police station and stop there.
