Ex Springbok Pat Lambie gets set for mountain biking
Former Springboks star Patrick Jonathan Lambie revealed he is getting ready for mountain biking in April 2024.
Former Springboks star Pat Lambie said he was getting ready to try mountain biking on 25 March.
Due to injuries, Pat Lambie saw his career end faster than most fans expected. He showed his quality at the Sharks during his days, giving them over 700 points in less than 80 games.
All this left his fans heartbroken when he announced his retirement in 2019. After his retirement, he lived quite a lot for most of his first years but later started sharing more about his life.
His involvement in real estate had been a massive step that impressed fans. This time, he showed that he was not yet done experimenting after announcing a try in Mountain Biking.
“Never say never… giving MTB a go… #Sani2C April 2024.” he said.
EX SPRINGBOK PAT LAMBIE SET FOR MOUNTAIN BIKING
Mountain biking is an entirely different sport from rugby, and having such a switch by ex-Springbok, Lambie looked impressive. Usually, rugby is a sport of strength and speed on the ground, getting stamina from the feet.
Conversely, mountain biking is usually done by slender people who can cycle fast and weigh less than rugby. Undoubtedly, Pat was not a big man in rugby; he used his speed and technique to become the top player he was.
Giving it a look, coming from an injury-forced retirement, go on and start a new life in real estate and mountain biking. Whether or not he would be taking the new sport professional, only Partie knows, and time will tell.
